What is Durolane?
DUROLANE is a single injection treatment to relieve the pain of knee or hip Osteoarthritis. It is based upon a natural, safe and proven technology called NASHA (stabilised hyaluronic acid). Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring molecule that provides the lubrication and cushioning in a normal joint.

How safe is Durolane treatment?
Durolane is created using NASHA - an advanced patented process of Hyaluronic Acid . It is a highly purified product produced without using any animal-sourced materials, ensuring that the risk of impurities is close to zero. Durolane is treated by the body in the same way as the body's own hyaluronic acid and there have been no reported of immunological or anaphylactic reactions. NASHA has been used safely in over 4,500,000 treatments, for different medical purposes.
How is one injection is enough, when other hyaluronic acid preparations need 3-5 injections per treatment cycle?
The patented NASHA hyalauronic acid stabilisation process enables Durolane to resist breakdown and have a longer-lasting effect than all other hyaluronic acid preparations. Durolane also contains high levels of concentrated HA. This extends the half life of Durolane considerably whereas the HA in other hyaluronic acid products disappears within a few days after the injection.

Can I repeat the treatment?
